Mike Moorman discovered his passion for fitness during his early teenage years and launched his personal training career in 1996 after obtaining his first certification. Following this, he spent four years at various gyms in the Dayton area but grew disillusioned with the poor customer service from both sales staff and personal trainers at these larger chains. Identifying a gap in the market for smaller fitness clubs that prioritize personalized attention over aggressive contract sales, Mike established his own private training facility. Absolute Fitness Personal Training Center opened its doors in 2001 as a 1,200-square-foot studio and has since expanded four times over the last twenty-four years. Currently, Absolute Fitness operates from a new 6,300-square-foot location on Wilmington Pike, featuring top-of-the-line equipment.
In his extensive 29-year career, Mike has collaborated with a diverse range of clients, from novices to elite athletes. With the establishment of his new facility, he has expanded his team by hiring additional trainers to accommodate his increasing clientele. As a private training center, Mike and his staff can offer tailored attention and individualized training programs, a level of service that larger gym chains often lack. Members of Absolute Fitness develop a strong personal rapport with Mike, working closely with him to achieve their unique fitness objectives. Beyond being a workout space, Absolute Fitness fosters a community where friendships thrive among clients, trainers, and fitness enthusiasts. This supportive atmosphere reflects Mike’s optimistic outlook, exceptional skills, and unwavering commitment to his clients. He holds a personal training certification from the ISSA as well as a Vertimax certified instructor.
